mikef18 44 #1 Posted November 9, 2021 Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I just got an 855 and was wondering if anyone has pictures of the inside of the belt guard and all the mounting points on the tractor? I'm missing some parts and see that some mounts are broke from the frame. Trying to figure out what I need to make and repair. Thanks
Handy Don 14,126 #2 Posted November 9, 2021 Welcome to the forum! Can't help with pictures. Until someone who can comes along, I'd suggest using that good 'ole search bar to hunt through the 000's of posts and, using "tractor 855" in the files/manuals sections track down your tractor's manual and parts list.
ebinmaine 72,946 #3 Posted November 9, 2021 I can get you some pics of my Trina's Military Tribute Tractor which is an 856.
Achto 29,413 #4 Posted November 9, 2021 (edited) Nice tractor! Your belt guard should be held on with 4 bolts. 2 bolts on the center counsel, 1 bolt to the engine, and one bolt to the "S" bracket on the frame. This picture is of a different model but you can see the "S" bracket on the frame just below the belt. This will have to line up with the hole in the side of the guard. mikef18 44 #6 Posted November 10, 2021 Thanks for the replies, I'm missing the "s" bracket and the tab for the rear top bolt. So that leaves 2 oval holes at the lower rear of the guard, do they have a purpose? I found this bracket laying in the guard when I took it off, any idea what it's from. I did do a search to try and find all this info but difficult finding pics of the backside of the guard to see if anything was missing.

Here are some pics of Trina's Military Tractor belt guard. In the top pic note that the two rear oval holes can be seen. In the next pic note that only one of those two holes has usage. In the lower pic you can see the s-shaped bracket that is at the bottom of the frame. 1

Use the one that lines up with your frame. The piece that you found looks similar to a part used for some mower decks. Similar but it would not work for said application. My guess is that it is a home made part for some thing, not sure what though.

Pullstart 67,021 #11 Posted November 10, 2021 Those short frame square hoods sure are useful around the yard! Just keep the front end down so you can steer… They also travel well!
