A Hurst Scrambler and an AMX.  Probably my favorite AMC products.

There are quite a few cars in those pictures that you don't often see at car shows. I always enjoy shows like that!

That was quite a car!  One had to be real careful on wet pavement!  Not the best handling in the world and would spin ya in a 360 faster than you could imagine!  But stylish and straight line FAST!  My second favorite of all time...

Love those first 2 pics.

The International K is absolutely a favorite of mine and has been for many moons.

I've seen those cabs plopped on more modern chassis.

Imagine the beautiful lines of a 40s IHC on a more dependable drive line with usable towing capacity and stopping power...

That's a thing I'd enjoy owning and driving.

As if the AMX was not rare enough, this car had factory cross ram dual carbs.

The car was purchased brand new by the owners father and the owner spent about 25yrs restoring this AMX.

This '46 IH has been given a longer set of legs, few more ponies stuffed into the gas engine, and air ride suspension & brakes. Owner says that it will cruise 80mph, rides nice and she'll stop on a dime.

He also showed me some pic's of a Diamond Reo that he is working on. It's getting upgraded with a Cat engine along with a long list of other mods.

That washer fluid  IV bag might be as tough to find as that cross ram. Well maybe not but figure no much have survived.

Really cool I like it!

I've been watching YT video's of the cars my parents had since the day I was born. The 50's Buick was the sister car to my mom's first car, a 56 Olds 88 followed by the Rambler in 64.

That one was a '55 Custom. A '55 Special pulled in later. Same color. I could not believe the difference between the two cars. Headlight, roof line, glass, dash, front fenders, were all different. Way more than just a trim package. Not too many parts would interchange between the two.

Wish I would've gotten a pic of the two cars side by side.

Wow...  I did notice the dual filters but thought that perhaps it was aftermarket on that one.

AMC also made an all-out assault on quarter-mile performance with the Super Stock AMX. At $5994, it cost $1900 more than a fully loaded regular 1969 AMX, the SS/AMX ran with the 390 treated to twin Holley carburetors, 12.3:1 compression heads, a set of Doug’s headers and exhaust system, plus a host of other modifications undertaken by Hurst. It was rather ridiculously rated at 340 horsepower by AMC, the National Hot Rod Association ultimately rated the SS/AMX at 420 horsepower and shuffled it among various classes: SS/G, SS/D, and SS/C. It could be ordered in all-white paint, or in the vertical red, white, and blue that banded the bodies of many AMC competition cars of the day. Only 52 were produced and most of those spent their entire life on the drag strip. Surviving models are extremely valuable.

At 12.3:1 I guess he has to run Octane Booster!

Has it been repainted?

I dunno.  I saw one of those IV bags yesterday.

It was in a '68 Rambler wagon being shown at the local car show.  The car was a clean survivor.  232 six, a/c, automatic.  White with blue interior.

He said that he runs aviation gas in it.  Yes it has been repainted
