Robert B82 0 #1 Posted June 4, 2021 My B-82 has a vertical shaft drive with a clutching system to drive the deck. I cannot seem to get the adjustment so that the blades will not loose momentum in the grass. If i tighten up then the tractor cant start because it wont disengage. If i loosen off then when engaged it wont lock up. Can anyone help?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,518 #2 Posted June 4, 2021 What mower are you using? What is the model number of the tractor? Garry
oldlineman 1,541 #3 Posted June 4, 2021 Maybe your friction material is worn out or contaminated with grease or oil. Bob I don't recognize that model though, but Garry will figure it out.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,518 #5 Posted June 5, 2021 If adjustment does not work the pto clutch friction material may be worn out from slipping.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,518 #6 Posted June 5, 2021 The 3/8" clearance means the spring is collapsed 3/8" and should provide enough pressure to drive the mower.
