Discontinued parts

I have a 520H that has served me well since 1992.  It is now in need of 2 steering parts 116318-01 and 112760.  it seems both are discontinued and not available at my dealer or in my quick online search.  

Does anyone know where i might source these parts (new or used)?

ps...tip-to-tip....how long is the steering column (116318-01)  and....how long is the lower steering shaft (112760)

If you simply have excess play in the gears, much of that can be removed with adjustment.

To me discontinued does it mean there's no more on the planet. It just means the dealer is not selling that particular piece. Good luck in your search !!  And....
