Toro parts

Recommended Posts

I picked up my tiller from a local dealer last Monday. It was missing a few parts, (Pulley on tiller,a bracket,I bolt, key for pulley, and the set screws for the pulley). As of today they still haven't showed up at the dealer. They ordered them on the 2nd.

How fast or slow is toro's shipping? All the parts are available too.

Depends on whether your dealer put it on their regular stock shipment or whether they put in a rush order. Adding it to the stock shipment means less (if any) shipping cost as the truck/parts delivery is already coming anyway.

Jon... I moved your original post here as it appears to be more of a general discussion kind of topic. If you look up... you'll see your question from this morning... and my reply.

When you can't find a post that you've made, simply click on your name (It's always at the top left where it says "Logged in as:...." ), then on your profile screen right under your name there is a link that says "Find all posts by this member" Click that and you'll be able to find your post. (if you can't find it that way, then it has either been deleted or moved to an administrative review section for some reason.)

another thing we had a dealer in Richmond Bp junk and I both ordered parts from and it took a month to get them well he sold out to another person and WOW the parts started rolling in.

the problem was the old dealer owed toro money and they wouldnt ship untill money was in hand.

then he died about three years after taking over his son run it untill one day he walked in and said close the doors its over.

now the rest of te story is when the dad died he left the son all his money about ten million more or less and he runs and owns a dirt track near the coast and didnt want the trouble to come up to richmond. now the building is empty and up for lease.

theres one wheel horse i mean toro dealer on my side of town but he has to have all the model numbers not part numbers and doesnt stock any thing.

The other is down south and I never go down that way too far.

I ordered some small bushings and belts from my local dealer. Stopped in or called after two weeks, still not in, and finally after a month I called him (on a Thursday) and he realized how long it had been since ordering. Called me back after 10 minutes and stated that the parts supplier had it on back order and it would be in on the following Mon. I might try ordering directly from Toro next time. just to see what happens. I would rather give the local dealer the business. There are only so many around that have been working on them for over 30 years. :thumbs2:

See my local dealer is a er John Deere Dealer... Ordered my Kohler parts from them and after they couldnt tell me the torque specs for the K181 head... that'll be the LAST time I go up there...for anything other than a deere part or tractor... Lord only knows what they'd do if I tried to order some Toro/WH parts...ahaha

Oh well.
