@Dennis C. glad you are making gains on it , always concentrated  on the basics / baseline issues just to get it going , then go after the detailing . those safety switches can be an issue , probably best to replace them , would just verify the operation and replace as you can . glad you did the trans , replace the shift boot ? that slight carb adjustment was lucky . i worked getting it all working then finished as needed . none of mine are show horses , but are paint clean ,and  bulletproof solid . now that your wheels are good , how about a simple penetrant oil rub down ?  found that a clean paint horse inspires you to go on. clean cloth , spray penetrant oil , on each section, rub down till dry , let sit couple days , do it again , paint will start to wake up , you will enjoy working on it more . think the way you are getting after it , you will decide how its working for you , pete

I've done wiring and read schematics so I could rebuild the wiring harness, Just need to find a good one. Too much is missing here. The one switch that the previous owner disconnected is the  clutch switch and that is no longer available. I am going top repaint the hood and fenders this winter though.

@Dennis C. you might find a matching wire harness on this site , or do an internet search , seen a number of them , also that clutch switch is an easy by pass . unless you want that . what ever you can gain on , will keep you going , pete
