stevasaurus 23,276 #26 Posted May 19, 2021 Sorry, it took me a while to find this. I use Acetone to remove paint on vinyl stickers. Do not use a lot and wipe gently. The paint will soften and then will wipe off. If done right, you will not damage the sticker. Doesn't matter how much paint.
Jonnyrocket132 38 #27 Posted May 19, 2021 (edited) I always thought using that using acetone would damage the sticker but if it works then okay I will try it Edited May 19, 2021 by Jonnyrocket132
Jonnyrocket132 38 #28 Posted May 20, 2021 (edited) how much do you think it is worth with a running engine and it with everything working? Edited May 20, 2021 by Jonnyrocket132

Jonnyrocket132 38 #30 Posted May 20, 2021 (edited) wow I didn't even know that they made cam shafts with two different parts Edited May 20, 2021 by Jonnyrocket132

richmondred01 2,307 #32 Posted May 20, 2021 (edited) The blower housing give you a place to start but not the entire story. you need to mic the inside of the cylinder for the rest of the story. Blower housings can be inter-changed. Edited May 20, 2021 by richmondred01

Depending on the condition, how it runs, how many hours. I’m a fan of the b80 model so I may pay more for one then someone else. Here in central VA, once again depending on condition, are selling from 125 to 900. However, the market seems a high lately. I’ve been seeing wheel horses that in years past sell for 875-975 being advertised for 1200. Im not sure why maybe it’s all that free government money they been handing out or the 11.2% inflation rate (using 1975 inflation calculation formula).
Jonnyrocket132 38 #34 Posted June 4, 2021 (edited) I just finished rebuilding the motor on the B 80 and it has great compression but there is no spark. when I put a working key switch in I turn the key and nothing happens not even a click. the wiring is kind of all jumbled up but is in good shape. do any of you guys know what might be the cause? Assuming you just did a plug and play my generic guesses would be either a safety switch not engaged or failed or the starter solenoid. You’ll have to either get a meter and trace your voltage or just start replacing parts.

With an 8-speed it should be a 1976 model with the engine produced in 1975. We do not have 1976 wiring diagrams. These may help. Click on the picture to view them. Jonnyrocket132 38 #37 Posted June 4, 2021 (edited) when I tried that I was surprised to find that there wasn't a sticker it was just a white piece of tape but those will help me a lot thank you Edited June 4, 2021 by Jonnyrocket132
Jonnyrocket132 38 #38 Posted June 4, 2021 I am also wondering if you have to have that ammeter plugged in in order to complete the circuit
