wheel horse B 80

Sorry, it took me a while to find this.  I use Acetone to remove paint on vinyl stickers.  Do not use a lot and wipe gently.  The paint will soften and then will wipe off.  If done right, you will not damage the sticker.  Doesn't matter how much paint.  :occasion-xmas:

I  always thought using that using acetone would damage the sticker but if it works then okay I will try it

I think the cam in the K-161 is a 2 piece...the cam in the K-181 is a one piece.  :confusion-confused:

Yes and those two part ones can be tricky.

The blower housing give you a place to start but not the entire story.

you need to mic the inside of the cylinder for the rest of the story.
Blower housings can be inter-changed.

worth and value are terms that really can’t be interchanged.

Depending on the condition, how it runs, how many hours.
I’m a fan of the b80 model so I may pay more for one then someone else.
Here in central VA, once again depending on condition, are selling from 125 to 900.
However, the market seems a high lately. I’ve been seeing wheel horses that in years past sell for 875-975 being advertised for 1200.

Im not sure why maybe it’s all that free government money they been handing out or the 11.2% inflation rate (using 1975 inflation calculation formula).

I just finished rebuilding the motor on the B 80 and it has great compression but there is no spark. when I put a working key switch in I turn the key and nothing happens not even a click. the wiring is kind of all jumbled up but is in good shape. do any of you guys know what might be the cause?

Assuming you just did a plug and play my generic guesses would be either a safety switch not engaged or failed or the starter solenoid.  You’ll have to either get a meter and trace your voltage or just start replacing parts.

Did you find the model and serial number?

With an 8-speed it should be a 1976 model with the engine produced in 1975.

We do not have 1976 wiring diagrams. These may help. Click on the picture to view them.

I finally got her running:greetings-clappingyellow:

I don't remember who it was that said that those Koehler engines sound good when they idle but they were right because I love how she sounds

I just noticed that the head lights don't work and I have even taken the switch off of my 417-8 just to see if it was the switch but it didn't work and I tried new bulbs but no light

Is the condenser generating power?
