Can someone tell me? Did they make this fender in a metal version also, or just plastic?   Thanks  Greg

The fender on my 175 was plastic and busted up when I got it.  While at the part store to get some parts way back in the early 90s I asked the guy if the fenders were available.  At that time they were but he said he had several salvaged metal ones 'out back' that would fit.  He came back with one with a "Toro Wheel Horse" decal and it fit perfectly.  Don't know what model it was from but I presume it was a 300 series.

p.s. Ten bucks, paint was perfect.

The business is still in operation but I don't know if they still carry Toro parts or still have the 'junkyard' out back.

Here's their website:

The "Toro" decal indicates it was 1990 or newer.

I kinda figured it was practically new, it looked it (and still does).  What I can't figure is why someone would part out a tractor that was that new!

I got that fender pan in '93 I believe so the machine it came from could not have been more than 3 years old.  Their loss, my gain!  :handgestures-thumbupright:

Most any fender pan from a tractor with the fuel tank under the seat will work. I have a C101 fender pan on my C145.

Before

After

When I get around to restoring this tractor I'm going to install a pan from a GT 1800. It will look a little closer to the plastic fender pan.

There was also a member that was reproducing the plastic fenders in fiber glass. I can't remember his handle on Redsquare. Maybe @WHX24 can remember, he purchased a C195 from the guy.

I prefer to keep things original but I think my Dad’s ‘78 C-161 looks good with the metal pan. It’s been on there for over 40 years. D8B5601E-9EF9-4FC7-8B87-FAE3BB28E15A.jpeg.a9968719bcf48fae3638475e02caf9d6.jpeg8C262D0A-44F4-44D6-9D71-41495B6B4836.jpeg.c276b4d35bb2362286a13202fc177621.jpeg

Does anyone know if the fender and seat off a 1980-1984 B-115 will fit on a 1981 C-125?

I don't believe so.  The B115 is a vertical shaft lawn tractor. The fenders from any C series except the C195 will fit, fenders from a 300,400, or 500 series will fit  as well.

Any of the fenders from 1978 on with the cut out for the gas tank filler will fit. There proof right above.

The plastic fenders on my C195 has a crack between the opening for the gas filler and the bottom of the fender.  The fender is made from relatively simple shapes.  It would be possible to build a reasonable facsimile out of 1/4" plate.  Big project, but possible.  Would add some weight over the rear wheels, too.

EXCEPT for 200 series tractors. they are the same dimensions externally, and while the tank is still under the seat, the filler is in the wrong spot

I only have garden tractors, I do have some hole saws that would fix that.
