Started on the new rear wheel centers tonight.

It's almost time for a wire harness.  Wiring is my least favorite part. My Briggs has a 2 wire plug  coming from under the blower housing. I assume it is from the charge coil and one would be accessory power. The other would be for charging,going to the battery side of the solenoid?

Don't know much about Briggs, but I don't think thats right. I have been wrong before though. The plug would go to a voltage regulator/rectifier. AC into the rectifier, DC out to the battery.  But don't take my word for it.

PITA but the best way is to find a machine that uses that engine and get a wiring schematic diagram. 

 

Could be DC wires. Could be one's a kill/ground. Could be neither of those is true.

In that pic about 3/8". Its thinner now. I should have more pics of it and a rear wheel later today.

There is a kill wire attached to a stud somewhere near the governor linkages.

My wheel centers are 3/8” plate. Figured that much more weight would be good. Be interesting to see what you end up with. Everything else looks great so far.

Just picked up my new to me wheels.

The original 8 holes will get welded in. Then these will then  be welded in,ground down. Then drill the new  holes. That keeps the wheels  hub centric. They also give me the wider stance I'm looking for. About 41in. outside egde of tire to outside edge of tire.

You ain't off much. 

 

The top of the rear tires measure 41-1/2" across. 

The front wheels are canted in at the bottom. 

Front tires measure 41-3/4" top, 39-1/2" across the bottom. 

 

The back will get a hair wider when I fill the LH rear tire with appropriate air.

I was thinking it was wider. Im thinking my fronts will end up center to center   as the back is c to c.

I was thinking in the early stages of going wider so maybe that's why you thought it. 

 

I got to thinking on the bridge situation here. 

I can only go to 42" with my current bridge without major reconstruction. 

Hence the width limit is set.

Yes. Thats it.  That's why. I remember the bridge width being an issue.

Other than that it is here too. If'n it don't fit I cut a tree down and problem solved. 

 

That bridge will get redone in 3 or 5 years maybe. 

Be nice to have the Ferg in the forest too.
