but have you ever been told something wont work? Then you tried doing it anyways just to see first hand?

Sometimes you win, right?

Just last week was looking at a tractor and the seemingly competent owner told me the engine was non-functional--took him at his word and he accepted my offer based on the rest.

At home, curious after unloading it, I gently pulled the engine through a few turns to check for compression and any obvious internal issues and it seemed ok. Unfroze the choke cable then set it and the throttle, switched the key to "Run", and it started on the third pull.

With a smile on my face, I shut it off quickly and put it aside until I can go through the carb, oil, plug, belts, transmission, etc.

I won't bore all y'all with the number of times I've proved to myself that the naysayers were, in fact, correct.

We all may find out today. I have lug nuts coming from 45 miles away. I will have them in my grubby paws in an hour. I just have to find a replacement gas tank in that hour.

Is it independent breaking? When you are stuck, one wheel spinning, pull the brake on that side. vrooom :auto-layrubber:right out of the hole.

It is supposed to be, yes. It's to aid in steering on uneven ground. Also when pulling and your front wheels are just in the air enough you cant steer.

I think fiddle brakes are a great idea. Are you going to fit a bar to join the pedals for normal use? You don't want to stamp on the brakes in a hurry and turn left/right unintentionally. Been there. Done that.

Now I have to go back to the beginning and see pictures of the brake build. Gives me something to do in the heat down here.

Let's see your view from your workplace "window". I know some are driving truck,or tractor, work in shops/offices or outdoors. What is it that surrounds you during your work day?

I've had some stuff laying around for a while now. I've had some ideas kicking around my head for a while as well.
Well they met each other a few days ago.
This is going to be a camp buggy of sorts.
Like any of my other builds I would appreciate any input anyone want to donate.

The base is an 1982-88 Yamaha G1 golf cart.

I've wanted to do this type of project for a while now. So here we go. The name was given by @wallfish. It will be called "The Yeti".  It will be painted and badged in a military theme. The front axle is in progress now.
