@Tractorhead, or anyone with a 656. The next time you are out horsing around, could you please snap a pic of the throttle and governor linkage on on Tecumseh? I would like to see just how it is supposed to be hooked up. Not sure mine is right. Thanks  Greg

Thank You. I am trying to hook mine up exactly as yours. Mine was not at all like that when I got this motor, but that doesn't surprise me. A while back someone posted about a special Z bending pliers for choke and throttle cables. I ordered a pair. Every time I use them, it snaps my wire in two. I tried heating it up to red hot. Worked until I tried to install it, then it snapped. Now my cable is too short. I have ordered a new governor spring, and now am on my way for a new control cable. Thanks for the pics. My 656 stays in a 70 degree heated garage BTW. Toasty warm, starts right up. Thanks again for the pics. :thanks:

@Gregor

I use simple pliers for that.

my „trick“ to bent is do it gently slow.

so maybe you work in too much hektik 😂
