Pullstart 64,793 #26 Posted February 12, 2021 Of all places I’ve traveled, I’ve never seen more blow outs on passenger vehicles than Oklahoma. I feel like the lack of snow allows them to run ‘em till they blow in many instances. Funny thing though, got some new boots for Christmas. They are more slick than my old work out no tread boots! It must be the compound of a quality sole vs. a cheaper sole. Mrs. P saw on a fashion show to hit the bottoms with some heavy grit sand paper. Rough ‘em up a tad. I should do that before I end up in the bumps and bruises show again!
Pullstart 64,793 #27 Posted February 12, 2021 I used a razor blade to wipe my new boots! Bring it on, winter!
oliver2-44 10,400 #28 Posted February 12, 2021 Had a good amount of ice form on the trees with yesterdays freezing rain. Late afternoon tree limbs began breaking. I keep my trees trimmed and lost a few small limbs. These pic's are my neighbors trees and "she" doesn't like her trees trimmed. So natured did it for her! to replace the 1980's 1500 sq ft lake house they bulldozed They crushed this 1500 sq/ft 1980's house to build a new lake McMansion They bought the place because of the lake view a few years ago with the intent to build new. They crushed the house because they could not move it out without doing significant tree trimming. She was a Computer Company Executive and got a "Golden Parachute" when they reorganized a few years ago. 1

A quarter inch as expected !Sure hope we don't lose power because I don't have a wheel horse generator! So I'm relying on battery power for the flashlights. Sure hope we make it through this one! Good looking crib !

I think the death toll is 5 last I heard, but I'm not sure if that's current. I know they were having a hell of a time getting first responders to the scene because of traffic. Lots of people trapped in cars. Not a good thing... Y'all might even hear about it on the news up there. Yeah, I heard about that pile up on the news in NC...sad, sad situation...

I know this likely wont happen again for another 20 years, but I'll still keep an eye out. If nothing else I'd be able to entertain myself with it.
