That is OK if there is a vapor barrier beneath the tractor./  Classic car collectors have plastic bubbles but they have to make sure no moisture get in from underneath.  Identically cement is not water proof.

They are inflated with nitrogen to prevent oxidation while in storage.

Nope that's too technical! All I'm doing is trying to keep the dust off my machines. As you can see I make a lot of dust behind them with that wood lathe. I'm working for a hustler dealer locally here. We just got in 65 tractors zero turns out it is. 
I have to service them all!

Around here collectors just park them with a cover over them.

That's all I use. I've seen that plastic get weird and mess up paint.

I inherited some out door chairs and with them came a few covers that are 4 or 5' long, needless to say they work great for covering the tractors that are in the shop.  Couldn't agree more, keeping sawdust off is important.  Even the wife made out on the deal, she sold the chairs!!
