FYI, Prices just jumped from $2.09 to $2.45 per gallon in my hometown.  Not sure if this is due to a storm coming or if the nation is following suit...

My FIL said the other day they are expecting $5/gallon soon.  I am unsure if this is just a fluke, or the start of a big rise.

Going up in NH and Maine too. Gasoline follows crude oil, which hit a bottom of about $17 a barrel last April (Covid Panic), recovered to $42 by June 1 then stayed in the $35-42 range until Nov 2, then has been in a climb since. Now just about $53 almost where it was a year ago before the panic.

Could go higher but I'm no Nostradamus.

Before the ridiculous implications start, let's just say here that it most certainly is not American politics.

UK £5.40 a gallon. That would be $7.38 a gallon in the States.

Yeah, it's good to have some European members to snap us back to reality sometimes.

I wouldn’t say I’m bitchin’, just fishin’.  I wasn’t sure if they are predicting a big storm or if this was seen nationally.  As for prices, if they go too high I don’t really have to drive too far.  I recall well over $4 a gallon and have enjoyed this break.  I’ll still make my plans for tractor shows, even if they are back up for summer.  Life goes on.

Without this getting political of course gas and fossil fuel is going to go thru the roof but that's what got voted in so that's what we are going to get.  Go buy some tesla stock.  It's really interesting studying from both points of view.  The reality is we as a country or world cannot cut off fossil fuels yet.  Affordable alternatives are not available to the average family yet

I remember paying $5.00 a gallon for diesel  going through Mass in 2009.  Two hundred a tank full hurt. Hope we are aren't going back to those days again.

On a lighter note, we're buying a new house. 1.5 miles from my wife's mother instead of 150. Jury is out on whether the  gasoline cost will be more or less.

The house was built in 1787. Pretty sure cost to heat that is gonna sting.

To paraphrase the movie......There be sharks in these waters. You may need a bigger boat.
