Took these just now.  The ones from my first strip down are on a computer but I can't be sure the layout was right back then.

This all works just fine as it is.

Looks to be as should. 

Missing a hairpin on the PTO trunion tho and what is that brass lookin dodad on the end of the throttle cable?

Thank You. That's not at all like mine. I have a wheel with several holes, and a torsion spring. I never have gotten it to work like I think it should, but then, I'm not sure all the bits and pieces are there either. I was told this motor came from a roto tiller. I don't think it had a throttle cable originally.

I think you're comparing a small block Kohler linkage to a big block which is a different set up.

If you look closely its missing the PTO clutch plate too. 

The brass do dad is an extension piece for the throttle cable. It was too short and so I made a little clamp on brass sleeve with a piece of wire soldered in.

I don't know. Mine is a K161 also. I really don't know what you mean by small and big block, to tell you the truth.

Mick's is a K301 12 HP. 10HP and up are big blocks.  4,7 and 8's are small blocks.
