brian620z 0 #1 Posted December 13, 2020 Hello. I am new here and hope someone can help me. I have a Toro 620Z Wheel horse and I need to replace my motor. I had someone who said he was knowledgeable on fixing mowers work on mine and he said he blew a rod and that engine needs to be replaced or rebuilt. I have been trying to find a replacement but had no luck. Can a toro mower use any kind of motor? Mine is a 20hp. I have seen other brands of 20hp or higher but was not sure if I can use them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

953 nut 58,505 #3 Posted December 13, 2020 You would need to do some measuring and investigation to determine what engine will fit your needs but there are lots to choose from.
Achto 28,992 #4 Posted December 14, 2020 Important things to know when replacing a vertical shaft engine. You will need to know your current mounting bolt circle. You will need to know your out put shaft length & diameter. Most other fitment things can be easily over come. This may be one possibility. https://www.surpluscenter.com/Engines/Gas-Diesel-Engines/Vertical-Shaft-Engines/656cc-20-HP-Briggs-Stratton-Vertical-Shaft-Engine-40N877-28-1956.axd
