Need help with 1960 Suburban

I know nothing about vintage lawn tractors but Im learning. I bought this little guy a couple weeks ago and Im afraid I bit off more thank I can chew. I need any advise for restoring this 1960 Suburban. I need some parts as well. I just bought a hood for it. I know the engine is not stock. So if you happen to have any parts for this please let me know. THanks

Hummmm nothing a good hood front wheel looks like it was filled

correct engine, belt guards a little sand blasting primer paint

and lot of TLC and you got one nice tractor

O I forgot a deck and decals small job can be done in no time at all

Time and patience, A little TLC, and some good part hunting and I'm sure you will have a beauty. Mine was pretty rough when I got it and turned out decent.

Please take your time, and do it right!! You'll be looking at it the rest of your life, and say, I shoulda done this, that...Just don't rush it. Two months is how long in your life anyhow??

I could use foot rest, drive belt cover, one front wheel, two front tires, and Im not sure what is wrong with the steering but the steering gear is just hanging there. I wouldnt mind a different engine as well. For now I am willing to put anything in there just for running around. So if anyone has any of my list, please get back to me... mnandbeyond@yahoo.com
