If those are Wheel Horse white wall tires, you may just have an Indy 500 tractor. Post the serial number when you get a chance & some one should be able to confirm or dismiss this.

Welcome back Scott.  I saw Indy 500 all over that horse.  If you were getting back in the hobby, it would take something like that.  :occasion-xmas:

What a nice piece of history you have there.

I was wondering who might catch on to that.

This tractor was previously owned by the northern Indiana sales manager for Wheel Horse, Ed Sullivan.  Ed played football for the University of Notre Dame and was the center for Paul Hornung.  He passed away in 2015 and the tractor moved next door to his neighbors before he passed.  Ed was able to secure this piece of history that was in fact used down at the raceway.

Great to have the back story on that tractor. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I would just put a new seat on it and replace the decals. I like to use boiled linseed oil, everyone has there own preference. Rub it down good. Fix any mechanical issues. That is one coooool tractor. Nice score.

Pullstart

Welcome back Scott!  I was at @ACman’s place just yesterday and we were talking about how well you put on a meet and greet and plow day!  A lot has changed since then at Pullstart Stables!  Here’s a few pics to put a smile on your face... when we were at your place (6 years ago?) my girls were riding on my lap plowing the field!

Have been away from the hobby for a while but couldn't pass up this latest project.  Nice to get the itch back to tinker around when time permits.

Loaded up and ready for home.........
