I found a D series, in Augusta, with a 20hp kohler opposed twin! @ebinmaine D series has its own frame , axle bracket, and angle lever.

Are missing a piece or did you remove it from the ejection chute?

I’ll look in the morning. The way it’s show in my pic is the way it was when I got it

But you may like it as is for your own circumstances.

When I got the machine the guy gave them to me and said he had no idea what they were for and I never thought twice about it. my grandpa has the older short chute model so it looked right to me except the newer chute design... I thought I had some weird newer style chute that was made before they extended them. Lol🤷♂️ Just installed it. what’s the pros and cons of the long chute? The pros- father show throwing distance but can be adjusted by the very top , all the way down/forward shorter distance then all the back/up farthest. The biggest con IMO is if and when it clogs you have more wet/semi frozen snow to bust through and out of the taller chute... Also you have the front solid deflector which greatly increases its effectiveness and again IMO that tall single will do I everything my 2stage does except really wet/slushy snow and hard pack like DOT plow banks I had one 18 years before I got the 2stage and it chewed through several 2 footers with ease.
