Tractor Jim 0 #6 Posted May 18, 2009 RJ the one that got away. There was a sticker on the frame that shows RJ - 58. My brother thinks it's older because the front axel is stright and thinks it might be a RJ - 35 and if some one knows where I can get spec. on the rear axel that would be nice. CasualObserver 3,406 #7 Posted May 18, 2009 The straight tube steel axle was also on the RJ-58 and RJ-59. The cast iron axle was started with the 1960 models. The RJ-35 was a belt tension variable speed drive, not a gear drive tractor like yours is. The RJ-58 tag is most likely correct. Take a look in the gallery to see examples of both.
