Those old machines are an absolute joy to use. Solidly built down to the cast wheel covers. It will be around long after we are gone.

Made up a stand for the grinder, complete with Wheel Horse branding.

Yes, you can get an attachment to sharpen drill bits, it grinds with the side of the wheel.  Now all those folks that think the wheel will blow up if the side is used wouldn't want to use it.

Do you have an attachment you recommend? Something you are currently using.

I have professional Black Diamond drill grinders, they cost many thousands.  The Drill Doctor units do a fair job if you have problems sharpening drills freehand.

If your still looking for drill sharpener go to ebay and search for General Hardware No 825 Adjustable Drill Grinding Attachment.

However, make sure its one of the old "original" ones made in the USA with yellow box and instructions.

Have had good results with mine on 1/4 inch and larger drills.

Most of the Amazon ones are cheap chinese knock offs with mixed reviews.
