Jeckyll 3 #1 Posted September 12, 2020 Hello everyone new here. Got a question for all you experts. I can not seem to find the bearing plate gaskets for this model 73402 I have part numbers 47-522-05 / 47-051-09. It seems everywhere I look these gaskets are unavailable. Is there another part # that will interchange or am I just out of luck? Any help would appreciated. Thanks

953 nut 59,969 #3 Posted September 12, 2020 It is important to use the correct thickness gaskets on the bearing plate, they will establish the end play on the crank shaft.
Jeckyll 3 #4 Posted September 13, 2020 Thank you guys. Those are the correct gaskets and in stock. Going to order a few of each so I can get the proper gap. Thanks again.
Scott24 2 #5 Posted September 18, 2020 Glad to hear you found the gaskets. I have not been able to find the bearing plate. It seems it was discontinued a number of years ago. The issue I have is that when I went to replace the spark plug control module (a mouse ate through the wire) the left side bolt head snapped off. Was able to drill it out and tap it but decided to go just a little bit bigger. Well the tap broke and right now am at a loss on how to get it out despite trying a number of different methods. I've gotten to the point of replacing the entire motor, but the only option there is to find a used one. Supposedly due to the design of the motor an aftermarket motor is not available. Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.
