Ron Krause 1 #1 Posted September 11, 2020 I have two 1988 414-8, 416-8 wheel horses and they both do the same on the same thing turn the key and the solenoid clicks but engine doesnt turn over. bat is 12.45 checked volts at fuse and when you turn the key you have 12.4 volts there, also then at the top terminal on the solenoid, checked at 12.45 volts. checked continuity on both bat cables and they are good the 414-8 sometimes will start if you turn key on and off several times. i tried wiggling wires to no avail safety switches are ok the 16hp has a new ignition switch. Can someone get me in the right direction. Keep in mined that if youput 12volts directly to the starter they both will start Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
