midpack 1,011 #1 Posted September 2, 2020 Sooo... I like to keep busy with "stuff". Being a bit of a pack rat makes sure I have lots of stuff! So, I was looking at my stuff and thought "I should DO something with all this stuff" So,here it is. The only things I didn't already have were the fuel lines, filter, tank grommet, and a relay for running a Magneto ignition on a battery ignition harness. which BTW was much easier than when I swapped a whole wiring harness for the same end result! I did have to get a new bowl for the carb, seems like the PO must have left water in it and it literally rusted through. never seen one that bad. got that sorted out and it fired instantly with baseline settings Drove it around and everything felt great But... I already have dedicated machines for doing the chores (mow, plow, snowblow). All my machines are workers except my Panzer. that machine is sweet, just too cramped for my size. lol At least the collection of parts are all in one place now! Haven't given it a name yet, thinking "Mongo" maybe with that Magnum in it 4

SPINJIM 1,986 #3 Posted September 2, 2020 (edited) You're very lucky to have a replacement Magnum twin engine in a black hood. Looks like a keeper. Jim PS: With that unusual PTO clutch, I have to ask what that engine come off of. Edited September 2, 2020 by SPINJIM

Jim PS: With that unusual PTO clutch, I have to ask what that engine come off of. It was off a 315 Wheel Horse. I had to modify the rod flat so it would pull out further to swing out of the way so I could access the belts, otherwise it bolted right on

With the rugged look & nothing can get in my way attitude there seems to be a slight resemblance. 1

Alex175 784 #8 Posted September 2, 2020 (edited) Mongo seems fitting to me, a strong brute of a tractor with a soft side. Edited September 2, 2020 by Alex175

midpack 1,011 #13 Posted December 17, 2020 Mongo earned his keep today! I have a single stage on it and it just destroyed anything in it's path. That heavy packed stuff at the end of the driveway? the grunt the Magnum 18 let out eating it up was inspiring
