Zekepup 0 #1 Posted August 27, 2020 I need the part number for the fuel tank sending unit for my 520xi. I have checked it out and it is bad. Also is there a site to get actual part numbers for the oil filter, hydro filter etc for this tractor. ‘Thanks
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,522 #2 Posted August 27, 2020 Welcome to the forum Here is an illustrated parts list Here is another where the parts are priced if still available from Toro. https://www.partstree.com/models/73542-520-xi-toro-garden-tractor-sn-220000001-220999999-2002/ After all that can only find a part number in the 1998 parts list but the part is not illustrated. Part number 95-3971 - says to use 107-9234 but wonder if the same for 2002. Both part numbers no longer available. Poorly documented. Have a Toro dealer you can call? bds1984 1,500 #3 Posted August 27, 2020 You beat me to it, Garry. I think a call or visit may be worth it. Toro makes products that have a fuel gauges in them so I bet that with a little ingenuity, a sending unit from something Toro may be able to work but also may only work if you get the matching gauge with it. As far as filters go, the engine oil filter I get for all of my air-cooled engines is a 51348 WIX (same as my 2015 Focus) and a 51521 WIX for the transmission. Don't waste your money on the Kohler/Briggs/etc branded engine oil filters, they are grossly overpriced and better filters can be had for a fraction of the price.
JoeM 8,435 #4 Posted August 27, 2020 Zek I am working on a 522xi now and I could take the sender out and compare it to a 520H, let me know it that will help.

Zekepup 0 #7 Posted August 27, 2020 This is the gas sending unit I need for the 2002 520xi .Also is there a replacement temperature sensor for it too. The tractor goes to the red zone after just a few minutes . I just cleaned the motor removing as much tin work as possible with the engine in. It was not real bad,but no change in the temp gauge before or after.I just bought the tractor with 677 hours.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,522 #8 Posted August 28, 2020 Temp sensor 94-7619 no longer available from Toro. Match up the thread size to an older auto sensor for a gauge. Located near the oil filter and may have a yellow wire going to it. Garry
JoeM 8,435 #9 Posted August 28, 2020 (edited) That temp sensor maybe available from Kohler. research CH20 sensor comes up with this Kohler Part # 2441812S Temperature Sensor Not sure if it is the same as yours. this was the sender out of the 520H looks close Edited August 28, 2020 by JoeM
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,522 #10 Posted August 28, 2020 Were you also inquiring about the battery voltage monitor? Just noticed the voltage monitor, fuel gauge and engine oil temperature are all powered by the same ignition circuit. Perhaps the power supply for this circuit is compromised. Could also be the grounds for the gauges. Garry
JoeM 8,435 #11 Posted August 28, 2020 Perhaps the power supply for this circuit is compromised. does all that power run through the seat switch? I had one at times would have high resistance and the thing would go flaky those batterysending units are a real issue two of the four I have don’t work right but the battery is charging correctly . gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,522 #12 Posted August 28, 2020 Looks like there are 4 connections and a 10 amp fuse between the ignition switch "I" terminal and the diagram I posted. Garry
JoeM 8,435 #13 Posted August 28, 2020 My bad the LXI has the ignition power run through the seat switch.
