I might n ot be too far behind you, with the way things are slowing down at work. they keep promising a upswing in freight from a specific customer, but rather than getting o ut and beating on doors to get the freight, they are sitting and waiting for this one spcific customer to come thru the way they did last year.. I really wonder how much people will actually be buying this holiday season, with the way things are going....

You know I wonder when corp. America is going to wake up and realize what they are doing by sending everything to mexico, overseas, or just flat cutting the pay rates of its workforce??? how are we as americans supposed to buy the products that they are now making over in china or Mexico if we no longer have the jobs to provide the money to buy the product?? Cause you sure as heck cant buy a 40 thousand dollar pickup on Fry guy money from McD's ... Shoot...I dont think you could even keep the lights on for what they pay, at least around here

I know I'm a new guy around here, but I was reading this topic about you and I wanted to say congrats on the new job! My wife lost hers back in early June this summer, so we're pinching the pennies not knowing how long this will last.

Will they let you practice your chip shots during breaktime??

Best of luck to you Terry!!

Congrats Terry! Are you going to mount a reel mower to the front of the black tractor to speed up the greens maintenance?

Day one done and home safe & sound!

I'll bet you can't guess what broken piece of equipment we worked on for 5 of the 8 hours today. :banghead:

Here's a clue: It's green with yellow rims. :USA:

Looks like it's gonna be a blast! (especially since the unit mentioned above is being sent back to the leasing company soon. :omg: )

No, it's repaired. The 4 year lease is up on the pair of them, so they decided to keep (buy) one and let the other go back. It is a joke compared to the Toro units and doesn't even come close to mowing as nice, so they are saving the one for the rougher fairways and where there's more sand to deal with. (kind of like a beater mower. :banghead: )

I actually did have to use vise grips on one particular part! Try holding a threaded cable end to remove a 10-32 nylock nut. :USA:

The head groundskeeper told me that the best thing he ever got from having the JD's there was the free Carhartt coat! :omg:

:USA:

The weird thing about it is that it feels like I was never off work for the last 27 weeks. :banghead:

It's a little strange to start all over at a new place, but at least I didn't have to learn a whole new trade. (although my four previous jobs had nothing to do with small engine or mower repair - which was hard to explain to my new boss. :omg: )

I'm not too sure how www.wheelhorseforum.com would have looked on my resume, but I was prepared to use it if I had to.

Well if you had, you would of had 600+ recommendations from members :USA:

Now that would of been impressive on the resume :banghead:
