The Bavarian Wheelhorse grows

I put a Message on the Mailbox written with thick black edding 3000 so that he can see it.

leave my number in case of.

at 11:30 the driver call‘s me - i‘m here, where is the machine to unload?

i told him i give his Company the advice to call half hour before arrive.

out of the Office and a quick race home. - new personal record normally a ride takes 27min nail it in 8... 😎

So fired up the Iseki to unload the Palette .

The palette Fork was a blast and work like a charm, i just wasn‘t able to steer, lift and make a Video together.

i know i have to learn that quick... 😇

The driver was also unable to make a Pic while unloading, i just see his thump on the lens... 😂

but i have at least a pic after unload..

however...

back into Workshop and a fast lurking, yap all is fine and well deliverd.

here is it unboxed in compare to the Plowshield. - yap it‘s not a Huge one - only 56cm Workwidth but it was that dang cheap,

so i be fine with it.

Because it‘s made for an 5 HP Engine i think it maybe can reworked to be used with the 656.

firstly mount all parts so far to see what i must rework on it.

first thing that was a nogo was the Drive shaft.

a completely housed Star connector no suitable for me on the horse.

unscrewed and a grab to the grinder...

To make it usable for my purposes i develop the idea to cut the housing at 2,5cm and free up the Star.

Done-  after this was a Success i tried my Pulley Collection to see wich one will maybe Fit.

489545C4-8A0B-47AA-A405-E6B24CBEDF43.jpeg.e348ee82feee857e63df0635e31d7e97.jpeg

i found a 67mm one for a Taper but this is too small and i’m sure it get too much friction,

so i have to enlarge the pulley but no other Options here for now.

ok, search another Pulley with ( measured diameter on mine was 63mm *2,3) will be something arround 144-160mm in diameter.

why not 3? I don‘t like to run it continousely on Full throttle and if the 656 is not really powerful enough i think i try it on a Hydraulic Motor on the 212 Horse.

search for a other pulley that fit my needs.

It just needs a Wooden plate as bottom and than we will see, if and how long it lasts.

i don‘t believe it lasts long, but however, it was funny to build.

nice few hours project to rework scrapmetal.

It looks more then strong enough to me. I mean, you can't fill it whit wet sand, so i will be just fine.

Saving the planet and saving the wallet! WIN WIN situation!

@Maxwell-8

It appears Stronger than it is.

this whole Metalstructure is just 0,75mm thick Except the Axel U Profile, that is 2mm strong.

That is not much, but i will later improve the side edges to each other by Angleirons to enstiffned it.

Actually it carries easy my 80 Kilos only on the Structure itself

and with a Bottom and stiffned Edges i think it can carry about 100-150Kilos.

Just the drawbar must be made stronger than.

but we will see.

So far i be pleasured even it becomes only a Garden Art

Tadaaa - seat test, yap much more stability.

ok, the drawbar will stay as Weakpoint, but we will see how long it lasts.

i can hop in that thing and it don‘t cracks. - so far so good.

Mart‘l asked me if i would rework a stairway to the chicken coop for Mum,
She want‘s it after he stop‘s the Cows and mum like to be busy.
But she afraid of the old steps to the chicken coop even in Winter because it is too slippery,

so it should be a Winter usable stairway built not too slippery.

Ok, no question i will do, how we do on Material?
I have few things aside you can grab or you buy new - your decision.

Let‘s see what we can reuse.

- WheelHorse seat Time - 👍

i jumped on the horse and take it‘s new built Trailer to test it out and out we went.

We ride several minutes to his hidden Shed with all the collected Stuff on a hidden place he had

and i be allowed to go in and find and took whatever i need.

a big honor for me to have that freedom and trust.

Lot‘s of goodies laying arround, while lurking arround i see that Steel Rost Frames, built for eternity.

They be from his fathers cowshed - little rusty but massive and pretty stable.

I took them and put into the trailer.

on the Way back i stopped by at Max, he also was wrenching in the Shed and took that Pict.

6F4713DA-0ED0-4A1D-9A73-8EBDB30F8F69.jpeg.8731b643f77579d840e5088b1dcf03ed.jpeg

pretty Cool

Than i put the Rost frames in the Shed and begin to thinker about.

Ordered a 6m Rect Steel 30x30 4mm to built the Construct.

The Stairway to heaven get‘s just a little more done. Still waiting for my Steel.

i added to my Steel Order another angle iron 30x30 5mm and a U profile 34,5 x 40 in 5mm.

C4EC2F88-BDC5-4B3F-9D24-FDB19A380139.jpeg.ede436f2e4313959880f665c63689b14.jpeg

When i try to lift it, i decide to built it adjustable and be able to remount it for a move.

that thing becomes really heavy, i estimate about 50-70 Kilo‘s and it‘s not finished yet..

step height is 22,5cm and step lenght is 30cm.

I try to build it for eternity.

FF9F4FF2-7D2C-4BE4-94AE-A11B1B618C8F.jpeg.82a2d1c818660e07b24bf5a8cc6039e0.jpeg

Both angle iron‘s are made of steel in 50x50 - 5 mm thick, the rost’s are made of steel 20x20 5mm thick.

Few stiffer must be inserted and a handrail must also be buit for Mum.

The front sides are made from a used Tank mounts like my FEL Fork is made from,

they normally carries a 500 litre Tank, that should be strong enough.

i screwed them only on, to be able adjust each side up to 15 cm in height.

therefore i drilled several holes in 4 cm distance to be able to adjust.

hope the steel comes soon.

Delivery Day for the „Stairway to Heaven“

Fired up the Horse to deliver the Stairway, when i do this stop for a quick picture, i hear a curiuos noise

sounds like a backfire and the Engine begins little blue smoke. But it runs still well in idle

and it is freshly Serviced include oilchange, so it have fresh oil in it.

I double checking what will happen but nothing can be seen.

All is well and she run‘s fine like allway‘s, except again a little blue smoke on throttle up.

I fear „ pistonring“ maybe cracked.

However i need her so we do that ride together.

While we ride along, the blue smoke gets less until nothing can be smelled.

I let her run in idle while i mount the Stairway on the Chicken Coop.

about 30 sec. absolute no oilsmell again can be seen an she runns nice and smooth in idle without any Hickups.

I love my little Trailer and several peoples ask me where to buy.

Think i shall made a pre series - but no, it‘s be kept unique.

Ok, please don‘t green over the Handrail end, yes - it‘s a rattlecan cap from the last Primer. 😂

No other solution was so quick on hands and it‘s better than anybody hurt itself.

We tested it out if it‘s stable enough - yes it is.

2 idiots they jump on it around like 2 small kids...... 😂

after the „ hardcoretest“ we called Mum to test it.

She like the Handrail and she feels save on it. - cool mission accomplished.

Time the Cicken resides it, We did an agreement -  free fresh Eggs for 3 years. 😎

Than i ride with the Trailer back to the Shed and changed over to the Tiller.

With the tiller i ride to my little Field to prepare it.

Ok Soil was a bit too wet, but it works so far.

the Tyres collects a „security deck“ on top of them....

i tried to make a Video, but i missed the record button and hit it when i finished- 😎

20 min Video make in the Pocket.... 😂😂😂🤪🤪

At least i fixed my Plow, that it will align again after it was bent by the Beast when it hit‘s a Rock.

i dig that Rock out last year with the FEL and hope, this year it will not happen again,

because it further just work behind the Wheelhorse.

I think it can be seen the bending where the rusty spot is

- check - bavk in Service.

To bend it bavk, i use a rope and bind the other side onto the big Workbench,

than i used a 2m Steelpipe put it in a angle iron to bend it back carefully.

hard job, but it works. Now we be back in Service.

after i doing all today‘s jobs, i do a little Trailride,

but because of worse forecast and cloudy heaven i let the iphone for safety reasons in the Shed.

Shed Spring cleanup today...

Collecting lot‘s of wooden Tankpalettes, because of cheap wood for the new Horsie Garage.

096840EC-9123-4FBE-A0E0-8AFEBE47EC06.jpeg.1f9eb50fc5f265b425027d571b237708.jpeg

after the palette truck is finished and winter is gone so far, i have time for the snowblower.

but im not in a hurry, so just look for a place to stay.

after cleanup i shiftet one of the large workbench foot little more left, to align with the one in the back.

so i get more room to store palettes under.

6C7992F5-7627-4D57-89DD-D8094B8077B7.jpeg.59b84283b2ccb20d39d0a04f64f9af13.jpeg

a small oilcabinett out of a palette will close this movable system.

all is quick and handyusable and if not needed fast outta Way.

So Snowblower first, tiller after but i will maybe changing this order.

at least i welded quick a Airtank holder for Max‘s Servicetruck because he will move the Tanks from the side

away in the middle of the Truck.

a successful Sunday come to an end.

good night little Shed...

- good night John- Boy....😂😂😂

The both extended spindles .. - cool .

next thing is to decide is the sheet metal to extend the Housing - steel or Aluminum.

i think i get steel, because of possibly salt contamination and Alu corrosion.

Steel can be welded on, Aluminum must be screwed.

However, no sheetmetal here, so end workshop time and back home.

fired up the 3 D Printer for a Test i drawed the last day’s.

Waterloo - F***

Firstly i did today my own Plowday - to see if my reworked Plow will work as expected.

Yesterday i tried to bring it to glow with the induction heater, but it‘s just be able to burn down the paint and heat it up to dark red glow.

That is enough to open a Screw, but not hot enough to Bend Steel.

I tried it 2 Times but allway‘s after 2:30min  the self protection occurs and i have to wait for next try about 2 minutes. - that‘s toooo long.

So 1 KW is not enough for 1“ Steelpipe with 10mm thickness to bring it to glow bright red.

Maybe the 1,8 KW will do the trick but i don‘t have.

So i drive yesterday late evening to my Buddy, a Blacksmith and we bend the Plow as i measure it.

after we bend it it must cool down and a „hold my Beer“ Task happens, the Watch show‘s 01:30 when we leave the Workshop.. 😎

Today i grabbed the Plow and decide to give it a Testride.

67C06CD8-2031-4B55-9203-CDC848869476.jpeg.8dd82a04e23558d8583eaa1b3b0a61b1.jpeg

61DF80A3-1512-48F8-AD11-EF8F5E1DF92A.jpeg.abe0cd8cc3a4a5d50bae7a24c0dd179c.jpeg

The Tecky grunt‘s nice but begin also again a little with

but after the Plow i make a real mess on the Road and decide to cleanup immediately.

E7938A4C-5A8F-4E9B-A951-598763260F33.jpeg.4f81615c5971ea3557afdd014b2d6201.jpeg

So i constructing a Quick and Dirty Cleanup System and give it a Try.

that works better than expected.

after that task i decide to go back and pickup the Tiller, the Soil is not too Wet.

The radio forecast told - The next few Day‘s Winter should come back.

but a stronger Wind ( they call it storm) occurs and i decide to hurry up.

After passing the Road, i hit to full Throttle and hear just a gently scrapping noise, followed by heavy blue Smoke and a Popp.

Engine stalls immediately. I try carefully to pull the Pullstart and the engine seems to move but hard and without a nice noise.

If i interet the noise right, i bet Pistonring is Gone.   -  F***

Gladly i have the whatever it has Predator Engine i painted in Red in spare.

purchased as 7 HP, the Brocure shops 11 HP the Housing tells something about 9 HP - Hahaha.

So - Engine Swap - NOW !

first removed carefully the Engine to be able to rework it someday‘s.

Than i build 2 Engine mounts to bring the Engine close to it‘s original Pulley height.

Because of the Airfilter Box i decide to move it from 19cm from Front to 20cm from Front to Pulley Center.

so it fit‘s snug to the Hood without needed Modifications on the Hood.

Step by step adaption for the Engine adapting rails.

The Predator looks not Bad in the Horse

The Hood fit‘s snug.

And after small Paintjob, it fit‘s also in optics.   ( love the black Screws for the optic)

So the Engine is mounted but i must adapt the Beltcover - no chance to keep it as it was before.

The original Pulley on the Tecky have a measured outside diameter of 65mm, the predator pulley have 75mm 😎

so i have to rework it.

welded, but not finalized

And a new Front tip.

Curious how it will perform.

????  H60 = aluminum    HH-60 = Cast Ironpage.jpg.ffcbc90f4ea90ff34820ad7dd0e4122d.jpgI was just wondering how much damage a broken ring might have done to an aluminum cylinder

We will see when i rework it.

for the moment i switched over to the Predator to be prepared.

That‘s the quicker solution for now.
