1990Onan520-H 15 #1 Posted August 10, 2020 Hi all, long story short, does anyone know if I can take a 91 520H carb and use the the nikki emissions carb off a 416H somehow to make the 520H carb function properly on the 416? I was hoping I could just swap the jets from the 416 carb into the 520 carb and make myself a non emissions carb for my 416. Probably wishful thinking since the 416 has the accelerator pump and all that, but I figured I would ask. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
lynnmor 6,774 #2 Posted August 11, 2020 There are enough differences between the pump carbs vs the older ones that I wouldn’t just swap the jets. What I did was buy an older carb and went over it. The pump carbs may use a bit less gas, but with the backfire and cold blooded nature of those things is something I don’t want. One blown muffler will make you a believer. I think you can swap carbs between the 16 and 20 with no changes to jetting, fuel flow is governed by the air flow. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
