monsstr 35 #1 Posted July 15, 2020 Just wanted to share my excitement for the week with everyone. I just picked this 312 Hydro today to mow the lawn at my house as my JD died on me. Owner had serviced and taken good care of the Wheel horse but I was more than pleasantly surprised when I arrived to hear that he was the original owner and had all the manuals and even his purchase receipt for 1990. Everything worked as it should although the mower deck has a small hole in it which is easily repairable. Brought it home and proceed to mow things just because I could...lol. It mowed perfectly and the lawn looked great, I use to detail cars in my youth, so i decided to see what I could do with the paint on this 312 so I played around with the hood and well, you can see the results. I look forward to doing the rest of the tractor and polishing the hub caps. Im also ordering some new tires tonight and going to do a complete service just for my piece of mind. Hope you enjoy the few pics I took...was a good day. Rick 6 9

monsstr 35 #7 Posted July 16, 2020 (edited) Thanks for the great comments everyone, truly appreciated. Ive already started on a project of going over the entire thing and servicing and cleaning any spot I can get too. I saw the tranny fan was a bit rough so I just ordered one today and tomorrow I will scrub all the years of grass and dust off of the underside. I spend most of my day working on a pc so now about every 1.5 hrs Ill go work on the Wheel Horse a little and clear my head. Cant wait to mow my lawn this weekend with it. Sometimes its the little things, lol. As for the price in 1990, the gentleman told me that is was listed for $4650 but that the dealership took $1k for some reason he couldnt recall. He had also traded in his WH C101 and received a $1050 credit. In total he paid $2756 for a beautiful machine. I attached the original sales receipt from Meetinghouse Garage in Harleysville.
