Fitting the valve guide.

The Tuul Crib

So I got my stens valve guides from Amazon and the first thing I do is try to fit a valve in the hole the valve is new it is for a big block. Doesn't fit. Do you have to fit these valves with a reamer tool or should they fit upon arrival

Yes, they need to be reamed. From section 11 of the Kohler Service Manual found in our manuals section.

I think you have the wrong guides. They should press in followed by reaming to fit the valve stems unless I don't understand.

Guides press into the block. Guides need to be reamed for valve stem clearance.

Yes the colder the better but don't put them with the beer though! Or don't put the beer with the valve guides!
