Rattle Can Repaint

Here is the C161 I got from Devin (fritz)!

I did a little trading with my cousin for this 312-8

The trade included repainting and deliver a running tractor to him. So I started the tear down today about 1:00pm After degreasing, pressure washing and disassembly, this is where I was when He brought me the 312 around 3:00.

I had told him to bring me 2 qt's of IH red paint from TSC, but he showed up with 12 rattle cans of paint and 6 cans of primer. I told him I'd just repaint from where I was in the tear down. This is how she looked about 8:00pm

By 12:00am I had sanded and painted the belt guard, side cover, dash panels and the front wheels (sorry no pics). I'll post more of the progress as I get more done. Probably won't get much done today because of Mother's day!

Well this repaint took just about as long as the last one (weekend facelift)! Turned out pretty good. Better than the weekend facelift and it was done with a touch-up gun!

Next step is installing the wiring and painting the K321! He will be replacing the seat and the ammeter. I will also be rebuilding a 42" deck to and painting it to match! I almost wish I had kept this one... Naaaa..... All my other tractors are hydro's. I needed an 8 speed!

Earl Shives or Maco couldn't of done a better job! looks pretty darn good for a weekend make over. You sure that tractor isn't hot and your in a hurry to get a new skin on her before the cops arrive!

I can just see it now on the TV show COPS - Horse thief caught RED handed Still nice job!

Hi look good to me i have done the paint cans alot of times on mowers and old wc allis but the one i will never do agen is to paint a full size ford f150 my hands killed me fo days but nice job ! :thumbs:
