12Horse Paladin 1,038 #1 Posted June 30, 2020 So. Turnsout all that was a problem with replacing my starter was a fitment issue...and as my small engine mechanic explained, i couldnta fixed it on my own with my tools/knowledge. I add that last bit to say it's possible this tractor had a flaw from the factory where the starter mounts to the block. He explained even the old starter mighta been fine had he ground on the mounting flange on that one. I have no pics of this as the work is done n im gettin it back today; perhaps ill edit this post later. Says it runs like a champ; you cant even here the starter kick in. I like hearing that😊 Now bout the pics i do have. When he picked it up last Wed, he stated that he couldnt get to it till this Mon, n hed be unloading it next to the other 'antique'...also a WH. I of course asked if i could come take a look. Wouldnt you know...its prolly the one id like to have most, my 'holy grail' WH. I Knew what it was second i saw those buggered up taillights, lol. It was also gettin a starter/solenoid fix, lol. I of course passed my name n number along, lol; you never know. Any input on value, im all ears, even just to gain the knowledge. Y'all have a great day😊 2

Pullstart 67,054 #10 Posted July 1, 2020 That’s a front tire, right? Keeping the wheel on the spindle might be the easiest way, unless you have a vice or something to hold a “spindle” vertices to stick the wheel on. When you are mounting, use the smaller diameter of the center of the wheel to your advantage. This video shows what I mean.
