Here’s a video of my spark, hard to believe that my magneto could be bad right? 


Do these carb mounting adapters ever get warped?

It seems you have a spark, but i‘m not sure if it is right in timing,

also i thought i see few missfires.

to answer you question, yes the gap in metal package can be also result in changed timing.

Current whirls can distort them, but in case of Points and capacitor, i‘m not really sure if that affects that strong.

 

My own Wheelhorse is on the Way (with a Tecy HH60 Engine)

When it‘s arrived here i have lot more options to take pictures and show what and how i meant.

Because im not native tounge, i think my english is sometimes maybe a bit strange to understand.

one Pict tells sometimes more than 1000 Words.

 

do you have a ignition stroboscope.

that‘s the best way to see if timing is right even with a Magneto.

clamp it on a 12V Source ( external battery)  and put the ground from that source on the Frame(or better Engine) 

clamp the C Clamp over the Ignition line and try it.

 

my suspect on your Setup is the condenser actually.

I do have a digit timing light, where do I aim the light to check timing?

 

On my Chevy there’s a timing tab I aim the light at to line up the the harmonic balancer line to set the timing

On your Flywheel, you have an spot that is a bit thicker.

That is the Ignition Magnet. Get the center of that and mark it if it‘s not alleady marked.

in the inserted Pict i have marked two spots green and red.

close to the middle of them both maybe a bit closer to the right side shall be the ignition point.

Here must your points opening.

Build a template that can be outside the flywheel be mounted

or mark that Area on the Airflow cover.

 

your points must open in center of that marked area.

mark the magnet with an edding in black or blue or a light scratch on the flywheel

and verify if your ignitionpoint is steady.

 

The ignition system this engine has is called a „internal ignition“
