Good News Bad News

The good news first. Got a new carb and got the 312-H running great.

Reinstalled the air cleaner and shroud then closed the hood and fired it right up at quarter throttle no choke.:greetings-clappingyellow:

Now the bad.

After about 30 seconds I hear a bang and out flies this piece of dics from the right side.

Looks like pressure plate for mule but I cant see where it came from nor any broken parts???

Also found a leak in the front right tire sidewall so off to Tractor supply to get a new tire:(

I agree that that looks like your PTO clutch plate. Maybe disassemble that and see what's going on in there?

You sure that piece didn't hit the tire and cut it? Looks like a piece of the PTO to me.

Going to get the right front wheel back on and get it to the lake.

Have better tools in the shed there and will check out the pto assembly.

Thanks

Maybe use it for a backing for one of your custom decals... put it on your shop wall...

Something like:

My C-120 hucked the hold disk out in a lot of little pieces. That was back when they were riveted on.

That stinks Terry...never seems to fail—when you get one thing fixed, something else gives grief!  :angry-banghead:  Hopefully it will be a simple fix without any more unusual challenges.  🤞🏻

That is why you always need a back-up tractor and possiblyly  a back-up for the back-up.  I hate to be working on equipment when I really need to be getting the job done.

I don't know about the Wheel Horse gods being angry but they led me to find my C-141 😀

Can we see more pictures of that C-141? Those 78-79 C- Series are my favorite!
