Vinylguy 4,692 #1 Posted June 11, 2020 The good news first. Got a new carb and got the 312-H running great. Reinstalled the air cleaner and shroud then closed the hood and fired it right up at quarter throttle no choke. Now the bad. After about 30 seconds I hear a bang and out flies this piece of dics from the right side. Looks like pressure plate for mule but I cant see where it came from nor any broken parts??? Also found a leak in the front right tire sidewall so off to Tractor supply to get a new tire 1 10
ebinmaine 73,002 #2 Posted June 11, 2020 I agree that that looks like your PTO clutch plate. Maybe disassemble that and see what's going on in there?
rmaynard 16,372 #3 Posted June 11, 2020 You sure that piece didn't hit the tire and cut it? Looks like a piece of the PTO to me.
Vinylguy 4,692 #4 Posted June 11, 2020 Going to get the right front wheel back on and get it to the lake. Have better tools in the shed there and will check out the pto assembly. Thanks

SylvanLakeWH 28,602 #9 Posted June 11, 2020 Maybe use it for a backing for one of your custom decals... put it on your shop wall... Something like: "If you think you got problems..." 1
Lee1977 7,224 #10 Posted June 11, 2020 My C-120 hucked the hold disk out in a lot of little pieces. That was back when they were riveted on.
PeacemakerJack 10,743 #11 Posted June 11, 2020 That stinks Terry...never seems to fail—when you get one thing fixed, something else gives grief! Hopefully it will be a simple fix without any more unusual challenges. 🤞🏻

I hate to be working on equipment when I really need to be getting the job done.
