I have a question When I run my new to me 1976 D-160 It drives like a dream goes forward and backwards just fine but when i try to use the lift cylinder it bogs the motor but nothing happens the thing isn't low on oil i filled it with what the manual calls for 10w30 and i made sure i didnt mix fluids. Now this thing did sit for quit a while and it was low on oil in the tranny when i first got her running. Could it be that i am still a bit low or should i just wait till i get her running again(waiting on the new float) change the filter and oil and try it again? Or is there a set screw or something i am missing that is preventing it from working correctly. I do notice a few holes on the right side of the beast do any of these control hydraulic stuff? Is there such a thing as purging the tractor? and if so how do i go about that?

Pull the pin 7-65.  Can you move the mid mount linkage freely?.  try operating the hydraulics with the pin out does cylinder work then???
