Pulling a tree up and out of a lake - C-195 Diesel Special

Recommended Posts

Skipper

So I had this tree that were in the way. It was placed and windshaped, so that when I cut it down, it went straight into my little pond. I thought I had to borrow a real tractor to get it out, but finally decided to give it a go with the one eyed brute. I thought it was going to be a hard struggle, if possible at all. But a couple minutes later, and the tree was pulled up onto dry land. The hard part was getting it up and over the bank, as all the limbs was of cause still on it. You can hear it in the video, how they break. Sweet!

I know I am rambling about this franken tractor of mine, but it just keeps impressing me time and time again.

Video attached. Enjoy the filth :D

I was able to download, but not open.  Could you post it to YouTube by chance?

Would have to figure that out, but I will try.

It is a Wmv video file, so your player must support that to play it. I recommend VLC player. Its free, adfree, and plays everything :-)

VLC works..  It is all about traction isn't it.  How much weight do you have in tires or mounted???  My problem is the area around my pond is always very soft/muddy...

The tires are putting no less than half a ton on it :-) and with the 60" deck on, it weighs in at an even ton. So yeah. It's traction, and the weight behind it when you yank on it too. A ton in motion will move most things around for sure :D
