wheelwhores 107 #1 Posted May 28, 2020 Looking for input on favorite attachment and why. Mine isn't sexy, but there is nothing better than plowing snow with a front blade, simple and satisfying! I'm looking to understand what is out there, in part because i may fabricate a few simple tow behind attachments of my own once i have more spare time. peter lena 9,279 #2 Posted May 28, 2020 have to say , plowing snow or cutting grass, i made these aerators over 30 years ago, 6" channel steel and pillow block bearings , also made the spiker blades from 3/8 steel , i regularly tow one when mowing ,really helped the hard dirt pack go away , pete
ebinmaine 72,718 #3 Posted May 28, 2020 We only have two attachments for our tractors. Each of us has a snow plow / dirt blade. I agree with the satisfaction of a job well done after plowing snow. The other thing we have is a mid-mount grader blade. I bought that figuring to use it on the Cinnamon Horse but I made the mistake of telling Trina to try it out and now it's "hers" to use on her 867. Other things I would like to try out in the future would be a York rake and maybe a single pointed ripper. If we move to a different piece of land and we could do a larger Garden than of course that opens up a whole slew of opportunities.
bottjernat1 2,194 #4 Posted May 28, 2020 A snow plow!! I like pushing stuff around! LOL 3
Pullstart 66,825 #5 Posted May 28, 2020 Many here will agree, plowing a field or garden is one of the easiest to bring people together. Nobody has mow days, but people have plow days! Other than a grader blade, or the FEL, a plow is easily my favorite! 5

71_Bronco 1,072 #15 Posted May 28, 2020 I've only had a chance to use a snow plow and a mower deck on my Commando 8 so far. Pushing snow was much more fun than I thought it would be.
JCM 10,225 #16 Posted May 28, 2020 I have enjoyed them all because I like the seat time and how they improve the property and at the same time have fun doing it. The last pic is my favorite with no attachment at all just a nice Winter trail ride as the sun sets. 3 2

Lee1977 7,215 #18 Posted May 29, 2020 Grader blade moving dirt or stone. The pulverizer also helps get the job done but not as much fun. 20 ton of crusher run blue granite. 4
rjg854 12,209 #19 Posted May 29, 2020 The attachments I like and use the most are the dozer /dirt blade, snow thrower, grader blade, york rake and mowing deck. Wheel Horse made all this possible 1

Here's a couple pics showing the 2 trailers we use. The orange dumping trailer on Cinnamon Horse was/is most likely an Ohio Steel brand from the 80s. I've added a (6'?) piece of 2" square tubing to extend the tongue. Moved the axle back 14". Just recently I welded a winch on the extension and a reinforcement to the front. It also has a swinging gate I made up with 4 latches. I replaced the axle rod with a longer piece of 3/4" rod, drilled the same mounting holes, and added Wheelhorse front wheels with new tires. The green trailer on Trina's 867 Pig Pen was a gift to her from her BFF. Her friend's dad bought it new in 1976 or 77 and used until 2010/2 til his passing. It too is an Ohio Steel brand with the 2 year only production round hitch rod. 2
