I've searched and searched, help!

Hi.

This isn't my tractor, so if I don't bounce back with an answer right away, it's because I haven't gotten a response yet.

Anyway. He has a B-80 8 Speed. It has some numbers stamped on it: 08K803. Underneath that, is a number stamped 6154. I'm not sure what the significance of that is... maybe some kind of date code (a conclusion I came up with searching google..... much how I found this place).

That being said, there is no prefix 2 digit number before the 08K803... which would indicate the year from what I gather.

With all that, to my understanding, the tractor works fine.

What I'm really trying to find is parts for the deck.

I know it's a 36" Rear Discharge, and from what I'm told, is as old as the tractor.

So maybe my first question, is there a way to tell what year it is by the information I gave you?

Also the parts I'm looking for, are the SPINDLE ASSEMBLIES, PULLIES, and probably a new BELT.

So can anyone point me in the right direction for parts (a lot of what I am finding... if it's even the right part number, seems to be discontinued).

So even if it's not the original, is there a replacement?

Also there I found a place not too far from me, selling a "New, Old Stock" Deck. The part number for that is 3536RL01. Would that work as a replacement?

Thanks for any and all help.

The 3526RL01 is for a 200 series lawn tractor and not a direct fit. The deck shell and spindles are the same.  It would take some modification and the deck attachment hardware off the original deck.

We have a B-80 model number #61-08K803...this would be a 1976.

A good picture of the deck would let us identify it for you.  At the top of our "Implements and Attachments" Section is a thread pinned at the top.  It is the "Chart Attachment Inter-change" ...you can use this to see if that NOS deck will fit that horse.  Some guys may join in here that may already know, but a picture of your deck would go a long way.  We have a few vendors that have used parts for everything that is Red.  Welcome to Red Square.  :occasion-xmas:

Also, check out our "Manuals" section on the Main Page.

Here is the 1976 deck

The tractor model number 61-08K803 had the first 2 digits printed on the ID plate so likely fell off or faded.

The spindle bearing assembly is no longer available from Toro but Stens and Napa have them.

There is info here on the bearing

Click on the pictures to see notes on the files.

Hey thanks so far.

I should have some other pictures later today.

Small world, so many people from Michigan on here.... especially pullstart who drove through my town.... today!

Maybe not so surprising since these Wheel Horses where made not too far from here.

@gappvembe I might have another deck for your (friend’s?) machine...  If this needs any more work than blades and spindles... I’m just an hour and a half or so up the road.

He might be interested. If it's going to be a hassle getting parts. To my knowledge the deck is actually fine, it's the wearable parts that need replaced, but it may just be easier than getting parts... I guess we'll see.

If it helps... that NOS deck for the vertical shaft mowers has been for sale for over a year, I believe.  I bet a reasonable offer would take it.  As mentioned, the deck shell is the same, just the mounting hardware needs to be swapped, etc.

Alright, here are the deck pictures!

Also the blade length, which looks like it's 11-3/4".

And what I had to work with with a serial number on the mower.

So, what do I have? Where can I get parts? Thanks

There are 2 belts.

I used the belt reader we have here at my work (I'm not too familiar with it and that's not what I do here... I'm the electrical guy).

They both are a 15 v belt.

The main drive one, from tractor to deck, and is broken, reads 910.

The blade belt that goes around the blade pulleys, reads 755
