littleredrider 409 #1 Posted May 20, 2020 I did a search and got as many answers as topics. Right now the cylinder is in the stock location. But with the loader frame bolted on, it won't fit on the footboard post. I'm working on making a 3 point hitch, and would like to use the cylinder for the lift. Mounting it should be simple enough, but the lines aren't gonna be long enough. Since I should have plenty of room under the seat, (no gas tank), is there an adaptor I can use? Was just at Tractor Supply and they had 1/4"x36" hose for $15 I think. The last time I had hoses made for a 518/Eaton 1100 swap, cost me over $150 I think. Really don't wanna spend that much. So, what is the name/size for the couplers, and does any body know if there are adaptors? With this time off, trying to get stuff done!!!

The fittings that used are called ORB ( O Ring Boss ) fittings. There are adapters to go from ORB to JIC or ORB to pipe thread

Achto 29,433 #5 Posted May 21, 2020 I don't know exactly how they figure the sizes for ORB but you would need some thing like this. https://www.hydraulichoses.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=6405&gclid=CjwKCAjwqpP2BRBTEiwAfpiD-469B9Z_kXYQj2Ma05uwxw66fAVvXKBu_k6PADs7Ft0XrlJy4aFZhhoC5gYQAvD_BwE
squonk 43,944 #6 Posted May 21, 2020 I believe most WH hyd fittings are # 6 ORB. I think my GT -14 was #4 or #
pfrederi 18,714 #7 Posted May 21, 2020 (edited) WH used two sizes or ORB fittings over time. ORB #5 and #6. They are straight threads. if the cylinder hole is 1/2" NF it is ORB5 if it is Threaded 9/16 NF it is ORB#6 You are going to want swivel fittings like these Any hydro place will have the ORB 6 to 1/4"NPTF ORB 5 his out of favor and hard to find. littleredrider 409 #8 Posted May 21, 2020 There is a place that makes hoses for big trucks, see what they have.
pfrederi 18,714 #9 Posted May 21, 2020 Which size did you need?
littleredrider 409 #10 Posted May 21, 2020 Whatever size the cylinder takes. I want to move the cylinder to the back for a rear lift. Also want to move the tranny filter, once moved I think it would be pretty easy to fab up a 3 point hitch...
pfrederi 18,714 #11 Posted May 21, 2020 You will need to see which size your cylinder uses. A hydro place will likely have #6 not so sure about #
squonk 43,944 #12 Posted May 21, 2020 C-160 is #6 More than likely yours is too.
littleredrider 409 #13 Posted May 21, 2020 I could take the cylinder down and match it up, rather than second guessing. It looks small, like 1/2", but if most common is #6, which is 9/16". good thing have the next 2 work days off lol...
pfrederi 18,714 #14 Posted May 21, 2020 If it turns out to be a #5 I can help you. I bought some extra a few years ago when they started to disappear.
