pfrederi 18,714 #2 Posted May 4, 2020 Could be a short in the wiring but most likely the gauge or the sending unit has died...Disconnect eh lead from the sending unit. Use your multimeter to read resistance from the terminal on the sending unit to ground. Thne start her up and run her around for awhile. Then shut it down and repeat the reading. if resistance stays the same sending unit is bad if it changes then gauge is bad. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

pfrederi 18,714 #6 Posted May 5, 2020 Sending units have to be matched to the gauge they are running. Your best bet buy a new gauge and will come with correct sending unit. Get an electrical one most mechanical gauge sending units will not fit in the hydro pump. Something like this Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
