Sparky-(Admin) 23,284 #1 Posted May 1, 2020 Anyone else have a a Magnum continue to run after turning the key to “off”? Like the title says...buzzed around the yard on a 310 with a Kohler Magnum...turned the key to shut it off and it continued to run. Sputtered a bit eventually, then finally stopped running. Before I just go swapping out the ignition switch is there anything else I should be checking out. Maybe shoot some lube in the ignition switch? Could something be sticking in the switch that lube might cure?

grinchsr 648 #4 Posted May 2, 2020 Clean up the connector between the engine harness and the main harness. Pay attention to the white wire.
wallfish 18,242 #5 Posted May 2, 2020 With the engine running and the key off, jump a wire from a good ground directly to the key or the switch body. If it shuts off, it's the ground for the switch body. They ground from the panel connections and bolts through the tower so sometimes it's best to actually run a ground wire to it. 2
