I received the pump and cylinder rebuild kits and new spring today. I had surgery yesterday to remove a precancerous spot from the top of my head so I didn't fell like doing much more than taking the parts to the shop.

New seals and spring installed. Cylinder also rebuilt.

I have been having my butt kicked by COVID for the last 5 days. Maybe I'll get this installed over the next few days.

2 saws full of gas. Not bad for an hour's work.

Time for the "rope a dope" maybe? Extra rest and let it work itself out?

Took a few minutes to begin moving the axle back on my black 17 cubic foot trailer.

I couldn't find a true side shot so here's a couple older older angle shots to show the original location, centered.

Lotsa reasons.

Increase balance.

Increase load capacity.

Increase ability to dump loads at a better steeper angle.

Put more weight on the tractor for better traction.

A Maine bear went into the wood, with a chainsaw to do what he could.

Having bucked up some trees,

with his work he felt pleased.

Some gasoline can sure do some good!

Got the black trailer to a better point of usage.

Added a few flat washers where the sheet metal is torn.

I used the existing rear bolt holes and moved the axle front row back to that point.

Gained about 14" I think.

Drilled new holes for the rear row of bolt holes.

Found a flat piece of metal to use as a dolly with a couple different hammers.

Straightened out the sheet metal to some extent.

The upward dump angle is now significantly higher and better.

Got me thinking now about mine… :eusa-think:

But I only haul and dump kids, so maybe I shouldn’t increase the dumping angle? :confusion-confused:

Well today I rehabbed a seat for my B-80. Yes I cheated and bought a cushion from Matt. But so much nicer than the cheap plastic hard ass cushioned run of the mill lawn mower seat was. Gitty up!

Took that ride in 2019, also the Cass ride as well.  While it says Cass on the tender, it isn't the same railroad, just a loaner I believe.
