On the plus side, Trina took advantage of the ultra low water levels to clean out the bottom of the frog pond 🐸 Your grass is still green. Mine is brown and dead. Have not mowed in a month no rain in I believe at least six weeks. Even the trees are starting to drop a lot of leaves.
Handy Don 14,124 #8727 Posted Wednesday at 08:48 PM At last! After 20 days without rain, we’ve caught the edge of one afternoon thunderstorm and are lined up for another. Whew! I’m hoping we’ll see up to an inch.

ebinmaine 72,932 #8729 Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM I got the woods toilet finished up this evening. The cuts in the metal frame were done and all the edges sanded or filed or both.

adsm08 3,325 #8735 Posted 21 hours ago I had some friends come over tonight. One has been working on cars since the late 70s, and for all we both know we still teach each other a lot. The other just likes to hang around. Frank came over to look at the Escape a bit, and with his supervision I opened it up a little farther. Its still going to be a lot of work, but it is not as bad as I thought. The big thing that made it look so awful is that the rockers I got were rolled out instead of stamped with the original dies, so they don't fit quite right, and to my untrained eyes made everything look wrong. He says they should still work, it just might not be as neat of a fit and finish, and I'll have some holes I have to make for myself to get the trim work back on.
8ntruck 7,866 #8736 Posted 7 minutes ago Wednesday, the dog and I hopped in the truck and took a ride to our Mo. location to do a house check. Yesterday morning, I got into our Cherokee to go out for breakfast. The Cherokee had been sitting since late May or early June. I hit the start button and it didn't start up in the normal amount of time. The computer kept it cranking for maybe 30 or 45 seconds before it started - seemed like forever. Today, I'm driving it, and a message pops up - ' auto start not operational, battery charging'. Humph. Not a big deal, as i usually turn the auto start option off - the engine shutting off at stop lights bothers me. Volt meter says 14 volts, so yes, the battery is charging. I get home and check the voltage with the engine off - 12.4. Not too encouraging. Got a 10 amp charger on it now. I'll check it in a couple of hours. That battery is 4 or 5 years old. Would not surprise me if I end up replacing it.
