I converted to mulching a few years ago, too, and I mulch what's on the lawn (I'm waiting for the last of the leaves to drop before stashing the mowers for the winter). It was an experiment, and it was on the street, not my driveway or yard. Made short work of a couple of ton or so, with tractor mounted saw attachment then swapped it for the log splitter. Stormin 9,976 #3412 Posted November 27, 2021 Been really wild weather here. 45+mph winds with 65mph gusts. Chill factor has been down to -6C. Not ventured out much. Just to replenish the log pile by the house and to walk the dog. Halfway down the bridleway that runs past our place, a nice big tree has been uprooted. 8ntruck 6,402 #3413 Posted November 28, 2021 We spent the day in the middle of our 20 acres of woods near Bowling Green, Ky. Had our Thanksgiving dinner with our youngest son out on the 'homestead'. Roasted the turkey and cooked all the fixens over a fire. Wandered around the property looking for a place to build our house there. Found a couple of potential sites, but they create questions about setback requirements from the property lines. Got some research to do with the county government on this one. Luckly, the property line in question runs between the 2 ten acre lots we own, so, I'm my own neighbor in this case.
