River19 87 #1 Posted April 7, 2020 Since I am replacing the tires on the C-160, I am assuming the valves might need to be replaced as well and I would rather have new ones available before I confirm that mid-project and lose a week. I found some valve stems for a 0.453" hole that are 1.25" long.......but off hand does anyone know what size the C series used? Thoughts? Comments? Insults? Thanks

bc.gold 3,406 #3 Posted April 8, 2020 (edited) Go with the shorter stem, less chance of it snagging on something hidden in the weeds or working in the brush. Edited April 8, 2020 by bcgold
Pullstart 65,150 #4 Posted April 8, 2020 Depending on the price, I’d go for some tubes instead of valve stems... but that’s just me 1 2
ClassicTractorProfessor 5,369 #5 Posted April 8, 2020 I use these in all my tractor tires, you can get the rubber seal for them for either the large or small hole in wheels. You will need the smaller rubber for yours. I like them as they seem to not be prone to leaking around the seal as much as the snap in rubber ones. I've also not had the trouble of ripping them out in mud like the rubber ones tend to do. Used to have farmers bringing implement tires in for repair all the time that all that was wrong was the stem got ripped out. Starting changing them all over to these and never have had one come back
lynnmor 7,651 #6 Posted April 8, 2020 You will want the shorter TR412 Tire Valve Stems.

There is usually a difference between "what will work" and "what is the best choice" and those are 2 difference questions and answers. I like the metal stem idea that Bryce posted......gotta see if I can track those down. Steve

If you're not in a major hurry for them I can send 4 or 5 of them your way
