Only we made a go cart... used an old two wheeled self-propelled power mower tied to the “front” with rope and away we went...! It was Mad Max at first with that blade spinning!!! 8ntruck 6,358 #9 Posted March 27, 2020 I remember my sisters skating around the concrete basement floor on these things. The wheels would spark as they turned corners. Marked up the floor some too. My nephew has moved into that house now. When they did some cleaning in the basement, they found those marks. Underneath the skate a pair of nuts once loosened you can adjust the length of the platform to fit the shoe, the other end of the key adjusts the front clamps to fit snugly onot the shoe. The screw at the front has both right and left hand threads. looks like a relative from the city sent these as a gift to a kid living on farm with a dirt track for a road, no place to use them so they're unused. They were in the metal pile, did not look for the key, if someone wants them I'll gift them. Cvans 1,009 #12 Posted March 27, 2020 Many times we lost the keys. Used pliers or small Crescent wrench to tighten them up. A lot of skinned knees and palms came from falling down when using those skates. All it took was a little rock and you were getting up again. This Ridgid adjustable was found at another site all rusted laying in the mud, cleaned up nice and it has become my favorite pocket tool. No worries... pour them a concrete pad - 40’ x 40’ should do the trick - saw cut to reduce the joint bumps, then get 4 pairs of these skates so mom and dad can join the fun... covered rink would be optional but appropriate given our weather... Oh, no key required... use an impact wrench, socket wrench, crescent wrench, correctly sized open end or box end wrench... you should have one or two laying around... Video please...
