Tractor boy 238 #1 Posted March 26, 2020 Started working on the wiring on my 1056. Any ideas where i can find the wiring diagram? I can’t seem to find one. Thanks.
ebinmaine 63,210 #2 Posted March 26, 2020 You should have a regular battery ignition with points and a starter / generator. If that's the case, check the third diagram down.

Tractor boy 238 #4 Posted March 26, 2020 My tractor doesn’t have a soloind? Positive cable goes from the battery to the key switch
pfrederi 17,147 #5 Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) Pretty simple wiring system. You do NOT have a solenoid. Note the blue line in the picture. There is a wire that doesn't show up on the WH diagrams as it is a Kohler installation. There is a terminal on the bottom of your regulator and a wire runs from it to the "A" terminal on the generator. Edit the wires from battery to switch and switch to generator "A" terminal should be 6 ga or larger. rest can be 14. pfrederi 17,147 #7 Posted March 26, 2020 Green goes from the battery + terminal to the "BAT" terminal on your regulator

953 nut 51,769 #11 Posted March 26, 2020 This diagram is very much like your wiring, it was done to allow people to see the relationship of different electrical components to one another. You don't have lights on a 1056 but the cigarette lighter will be connected to the "L" terminal.

pfrederi 17,147 #19 Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) A = armature on the generator and bottom of the regulator. B= Battery F = Field (one on the regulator one on the generator.) S Starter goes from switch to "A" on the generator. Edited March 26, 2020 by pfrederi

Tractor boy 238 #22 Posted March 26, 2020 The one all the way to the left is ground, middle or right is what I’m figuring out
953 nut 51,769 #23 Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) The body of the regulator is grounded. The one labeled "F" will connect to the S/G terminal labeled "F". The one marked "L" will go to the cigarette lighter. Edited March 26, 2020 by 953 nut fat finger
pfrederi 17,147 #24 Posted March 26, 2020 From your picture Last terminal is F it should go to F on the generator ( green marking) the center one is Bat (red) it should go to + terminal on your battery. the last one yellow is irrelevant unless you are a smoker.
