Well woke the herd up from their winter slumber. Got to take off the blower, do all maintenance, then puttem to work! Meet the herd from blower back His, Dads, Hers, and Mr. Cool. Decided those were appropriate names since the the one with the blower is mine. Next is Dads since this one was my dads and now is semi-retired, Hers was bought for the Mrs. and Mr Cool since when this model came out, I thought is was a cool tractor that Wheel Horse came out with. Enjoy the pics!!!

Is that seat as comfortable as it looks ? I like the original style seats and over the years have found many original seats with and without armrests and still have a few in stock, but I could go for that one on the Work Horse for sure, looks quality. Nice job on that tractor by the way.   @Horse Newbie

Why is it so loud? I expected an electric tractor to be somewhat quiet?

It is very quiet compared to my kohler or predator… but it’s not a Tesla… a lot of the noise is also mechanical stuff… first one I’ve had so nothing to compare it to…

Do you use weed and feed ?

Your lawn looks like you use a lawn maintenance regiment…

I’m jealous !

I use the 4 step fertilizer bags. First one always greens up the lawn and has crab grass preventer. Number 2 bag is weed & feed.

Thank you for the compliment @JCM !

That seat is comfortable so far… have not had much time in the saddle yet. I originally went to buy from a fellow off of FB Marketplace for my 1994 520H, but when I got to his house I found it was a gray seat.

Figured I could stain it black so I bought it anyways.

Had not put it on the 520H when I acquired the Work Horse, so I thought it would do well on the Work Horse.

It may seem comfortable because I just finished the Work Horse and am enjoying riding her around !

Funny thing… the seat has “TORO” embossed in the backrest, but the Work Horse is an ‘84 and ain’t no Toro…

no matter, it’s fine…

Sent me a message to let me know when, I'll try to make it.  Might bring my ragged old 312-8 along, and make you feel better about your work.

Well looked over my new project today. Took the gas tank out. Removed the 20 yr old battery. I might not be able to save it. There is no key for the ignition. Wiring is shot.Throttle and choke cables are rusted tight. Do not budge. Good side is it does spin over. Needs a steering wheel and obviously a seat but not until we hear it run. Fingers crossed.

Oh course the big child had to play too!  The black horse got engine swap tonight!  Couldn’t figure out the issue so just switched engine!  Only to remember the head gasket is out of it lol…

Hey I like that 312-8!

And I have plenty of ugly tractors if you need some to compare to!

It’s not bad all in all. However it’s a parts tractor for the other 73 8hp-4-speed. Once I’ve completed the restore I’ll put this one back together and possibly sell it.
