Wisconsin in a wheel horse?

Recommended Posts

Red horse green horn

So i just bought my first wheel horse. I have no idea what model it is and I'm trying to find any information I can. I was told initially it was an RJ but Im positive it isn't just from pics. It has a wisconsin single cylinder engine. I don't know if they put these in stock. It's in pieces.

Not in an RJ, no Wisconsin engines.

Neat looking rig for sure.

Not much recognizable to me as a Horse...

Looks like a Wheelhorse frame as well.

Certainly a VERY well done construction.

The engine and other parts are in the back of my pick up. Came with a belly blade and a mower deck and a tiller that doesn't fit it.

I wouldn't be discouraged by it, it's 1 of 1, I would go ahead and restore it.  there's a cult following for home built tractors.

I agree wholeheartedly

That's a great original and a wonderful piece.

You'll still be able to get info even if it isn't strictly Wheelhorse.

Lots of inherent knowledge amongst the members will help you get that beauty up and cooking.

There is enough :wh: DNA in that Frankenhorse to make it and you a part of the family. The reel mower in your picture is hard to come by, great find.      :text-bravo:

Thanks. I'll have to dig into it and see how much of it may be wheel horse or other. I picked it up dirt cheap so it's no big deal. Only makes finding parts more interesting.

Post some more pictures of that hydraulic pump under the dash.  It sort of looks like a Hein Weir pump which is common to WH, but it looks like someone has added a larger upper reservoir or something?

Somebody finally bought it! I saw it listed and saw a thread on it here - it is certainly an extremely interesting machine, even if it is made of a ton of different tractors. I'm genuinely curious as to what it started out as. Wisconsin's are good engines. It should be a good worker. The hood is definitely home made, but someone did an extremely good job on the lettering. Glad you posted about it! Keep us updated. I know a number of us are intrigued by it. We're glad to have you here! Ask anything you like.
